Another step of the model community for sustainable environment.

Mae Na Chon Subdistrict Administrative Organization, together with the Highland Development Project of the Luang Mai River Valley, Ban Mae Wak Community, Chiang Mai Land Development Station, CP representatives from all sectors, have collaborated to produce more than 150 tons of “giant fertilizer!” What is admirable is that this community is a “model community” that has changed its farming system not burning agricultural materials such as corn husks for livestock but creating new value by making them into fertilizer. The benefits of natural fertilizer production reduce smog and air pollution increase soil fertility reduce the cost of chemical fertilizers sustainable environmentally friendly from “surplus” to “valuable”. This is an example of true community resource management. Ban Mae Wak community not only adapts but also inspires other areas to do sustainable agriculture.
