Tree planting under the project honouring His Majesty the King’s 74th birthday on 28 July 2026. On Friday 10 July 2026, Somboon Phayao, Chief Executive of Mae Na Chon SAO, assigned Suwannachat Naknaen, Head of the Administration Section, to join tree planting at the Mae Hae Royal Project Development Centre, Ban Huai Khamin, Mae Na Chon Subdistrict, Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province. Kriangsak Buntapuan, Mae Chaem District Chief, opened the activity. The source also refers to 28 July 2024 in its description of the royal birthday project. Mae Na Chon SAO, the Mae Hae Royal Project Development Centre, Ban Mae Hae Nuea Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital, the Mae Chaem Forest Protection and Development Unit, government agencies, educational institutions, volunteers and residents participated. The activity expressed gratitude for His Majesty’s commitment to continuing, preserving and building upon royal initiatives for highland development and sustainable well-being. It applied King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s concept of planting three types of forest for four benefits. Planting at the centre followed an agroforestry approach under the concept of using pine forests to create value and income. It combines sustainable use of existing pine forests with new plants that provide natural food sources, multiple community benefits and a place to learn about agroforestry. The target was 1,000 trees, including timber and fruit-tree seedlings: yom hin, fang, kham saet, pheka, makha mong, jackfruit, khilek, pradu, sadao, phayom, three-needled pine and coffee. The volunteer activity promoted cooperation for the common good, environmental awareness, more green space and lasting social and environmental responsibility as foundations for stable, prosperous and sustainable national development.
