Mae Chaem District to support farmers, donate Arabica coffee plants, and promote sustainable quality coffee production in the north

On July 22, 2569, Mr. Keriansakdi Boontapong, Mae Chaem District Governor, entrusted Mr. Kittipanch Thiwongse, County Secretary and Chief of Security to chair the ceremony of handing over Arabica coffee plants to farmers who participated in the Northern Coffee Promotion and Awareness Program throughout the supply chain for the fiscal year B.E. 2568/2569. Mr. Samboon Payao, President of Mae Na Chon Subdistrict Administrative Organization, along with a team of managers, officials and farmers from the area attended the ceremony at the Mae Na Chon Subdistrict Administrative Organization Mae Chaem District Chiang Mai Province.

The project was organized by Mae Chaem District Agriculture Office, Department of Agricultural Promotion. The aim of the project is to develop quality and standardized coffee production processes from selection of potential varieties, management of crop management, and increase productivity to promote Mae Chaem District as a key target area for quality coffee production in Chiang Mai Province, helping to generate stable income and sustainably improve the quality of life of farmers.

The coffee planting was not only a support to the farmers in Mae Na Chon Subdistrict with essential inputs, but also an encouragement and a reflection of the good cooperation between government agencies, local governments and the people to develop agriculture in the area to grow stronger.
