The Governor opened the wild Himalayan cherry planting activity, “Visit the Orange Orchards and Wild Himalayan Cherry Blossoms at Mae Sanga Nuea,” at a planting site in Ban Mae Sanga Nuea, Village 15, Mae Na Chon Subdistrict, Mae Chaem District. The activity promoted local tourism. In 2023, planting was planned in community forests on both sides of the 19-kilometre Mae Hae Nuea–Mae Sanga route, with participating farmers planting on 110 rai of agricultural land. Mae Na Chon Subdistrict had planted 15,120 trees in total. Farmers also expressed interest in adding another 10 rai in 2024. The project aims to make Ban Mae Sanga Nuea more widely known as a tourist destination, expand green space, restore watershed forests and support sustainable incomes.
