On September 27, 2568, Mae Na Chon Subdistrict Administrative Organization together with the Luang Mai-Malo Highland Development Project welcomed the Economic Development Commission of the House of Representatives and the Committee to Consider the Study of Economic Development on the Basis of Sustainable Natural Resource Use.
The group also visited the community water management system, which is at the heart of farming and livelihoods, as well as the transition from monoculture to mixed-crop farming by Mr. Channaeng Minteeam, a farmer leader in Ban Mae Wak Mae Na Chon Subdistrict Mae Chaem District Chiang Mai Province.
In addition, the Minister visited organic farms, which reflect environmentally friendly farming practices and are another way of creating food security and income for the community.
These are examples that can be scaled up to scale development to balance conservation of natural resources and income generation for communities, leading to better quality of life and long-term sustainability.
