A storm and heavy rain caused flooding on 23 September 2025. After the immediate danger had passed, Somboon Phayao, Chief Executive of Mae Na Chon SAO and local disaster director, led disaster prevention and mitigation staff, SAO officers, community leaders and council members to survey the damage. Heavy rain from 23:30 on 22 September 2025 until 21:30 on 25 September 2025 caused extensive damage to public facilities, infrastructure, farmland, homes, agricultural equipment and other property.
