The Governor of Chiang Mai Province visited and monitored the progress of the implementation of the model watershed project.

Mae Na Chon Subdistrict Administrative Organization, together with the Highland Development Project of the National Research and Development Institute (NRID), community leaders and farmers representatives welcomed Mr. Thacpol Phasa Udom, Governor of Chiang Mai Province, on the occasion of visiting and monitoring the progress of the Mae Waeng Model Project, which is an operation to address the problem of forest fire smoke mist and PM2.5 particulate matter by changing the structure of agricultural production from monoculture to environmentally friendly agriculture, creating jobs and income in all three periods: short-term, medium-term and long-term sustainability. In this, Mr. Thacpol Phasa Udom, Governor of Chiang Mai Province, commended and encouraged officials and farmers for their determination to solve the problem, leading to sustainable development and gave directions for further development in the area.
