On 15 April 2569 (morning) Hotspot Ban Mae Wak 2, Fire Control Task Force of Mae Na Chon Subdistrict Administrative Organization entered the area where the fire was found. The team went in to extinguish the fire and made a fire barrier around it to prevent the fire from spreading into the forest. The operation was conducted in an orderly manner. It is believed that the fire was caused by illegal burning.
