On the morning of 18 April 2026, 1 hotspot was reported at Ban Mae O. The Mae Na Chon SAO forest fire control team, Forest Protection Unit CM.17 (Sop Wak), community leaders and Ban Mae O volunteers entered the indicated area, found a forest fire, extinguished it and created a surrounding firebreak to prevent further spread. The operation was completed successfully.
It's presumed to have been caused by illegal burning.
