Agricultural Policy Forum Beyond Burning

Mr. Sambun Paiyaw, President of Mae Na Chon Subdistrict Administrative Organization has appointed Mr. Suvanat Huttana, Head of the Administrative Department to participate in the Forum on Policy Solutions for Burning-Free Agriculture.
The Office for the Development of Agricultural Research (Organisation of Public Corporation) (ODAR) has funded agricultural research and managed targeted research funds that meet the needs of the country's development under "Thailand Safe from PM25 (Target 8 Upper North Provinces)" number of 5 projects. The successful result is policy proposals to systematically solve the problem through the integration of measures in policy, economics, communication and high-value agriculture promotion to support the change of behaviour of the community and lead to the reduction of smoke and PM25 dust problem sustainably.

The conference was held at the University of Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai Province, to disseminate research and innovations on reducing burning in agriculture and addressing PM2.5 pollution in the upper northern region, as well as to exchange ideas, policy proposals and mechanisms for "Burn-Free Agriculture" with all stakeholders in the network.
